1. Some tips for GPSC exams?

Ans:- GPSC exams are aligning itself to the UPSC. So prepare more analytically then factually, if you are preparing analytically it will help you a lot.

2. What is the paper style of GPSC exam?

Ans:- The medium of the examination shall be English and Gujarati. Gujarati and English Papers in Mains Exam shall be in a respective language only. In case of the question of interpretation of syllabus, the interpretation of the English shall be final.

The first examination will be Prelims exams and MCQ type. The paper should be in the two way General Studies-1 and General studies-2. And total marks is 400, both paper conducting 200 marks each. In general studies-1 the topics are History, Cultural History, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice, International Relations, and General Mental Ability. And in General Studies-2 the topics are Indian Economy and Planning, Geography, Science and Technology, Current Events of Regional, National and International Importance.

Then after comes Mains examination in this all paper are descriptive. The total marks is 900. In mains examination first the Gujarati paper, English paper, Essay paper, General Studies-1, General studies-2, General studies-3, each paper conducting 150 marks. General studies-1 topics are History of India, Cultural Heritage, and Geography. General studies-2 topics are Indian Polity and Constitution, Public Administration and Governance, Ethics in Public Service. General studies-3 topics are Science and Technology, Indian Economy and Planning, Current Events of Regional, National and International Importance.

The candidates who are declared qualified in Mains Examination goes for the Personality Test. The total marks for Personality Test is 100. So the mains and personality test total will be 1000 marks.

3. Which are the GPSC Interview question and Interview tips?

Ans:- Interview is a personality test. It is not just interviewing but it is an assessment of whole personality. GPSC interview is not the right term but the more important term is its P.T. or Personality test.

So GPSC board meets the candidates and try to see or try to judge the personality of the candidates that what the suitability of so and so candidates to be an officer. 7. How do I make my timetable/plan my schedule? How many hours should I study in a day?

Ans:- Timetable and schedule in life is very important. But in your preparation, it is not fixed that u are giving your whole day and you get success there are various people who give some hours and get success.

Some people spend many hours but do not get successful. But there are some people with continuing their job and some people who also give full time and crack the exam. So from this reviews hours is not going to matter or calculate.

Then which time is left you can divide in two parts, one type you can do like read only one subject at one time like if you are reading polity so read polity only, if you are doing mathematics do mathematics only.

8. I am in first/second year of my graduation. Should I start the preparation?

Ans:- Yes you can start preparation because UPSC exam needs a lot of time for preparation and the 1st year of the college is a golden time there is not that much responsibilities but after graduation the responsibilities is high. So if you join early in 1st year there is going to be smooth journey towards selection.

If you are preparing from 1st year you get more time spent after the graduation you have many responsibilities in some case you get financial responsibilities.

9. What graduation should I choose to become an IAS officer?

10. I want to do post graduation and then start preparing for UPSC but it will it not be too late to give the exam?

Ans:- Post graduation is not necessary for the UPSC exam. When UPSC exam take place everybody is treated as par whether you are science, commerce, art or any background. Or you clear your graduation with 35% or you are pass out from IIT or IIM everybody is treated at par. Post graduation will not make any difference.

Important thing is that everything which matter in civil service is seniority. If you enter early in civil services you have early possibilities to get faster promotion because whose who enter the age of 20&22 they get possibility something like secretary, chief secretary etc top post are only possible them.

11. How do I choose an optional paper for the exam?

Ans:- Choosing of optional subject is very important. Many people have choose optional subject in wrong manner which has been fatal in there career and they have fail the civil service examination because they choose optional subject which are not suitable for them. As per choosing optional first you should not choose optional subject.

Be in the UPSC environment for few month prepare general studies optional subject only be in the mains. 12. I have very low marks in 10th/12th graduation or I failed in 10th/12th graduation should I even try for UPSC?

Ans:- Pattern for the P.I exam is first there will be Prelims Exam. In Prelims Exams there will be the M.C.Q type question. The total marks of the examination is 300 marks. The medium of the examination shall be English and Gujarati.
Then secondly it comes Physically Efficiency Test only for those candidates who succeed preliminary examination. For male candidates 5000 meter running in 25 minutes and for female candidates 1600 meter running in 9.30 minutes.
After that the Main Examination it is only for those candidates who qualified prescribed physical efficiency test and having prescribed physical standards. The total marks of the examination is 800 marks.
The candidates those qualified in Mains written examination goes for the Personality Test. The total marks will be 100. And the total marks to be considered for final selection is 900 marks.
